Resident Screening: Beyond The Ol’ FCRA
Tenant ScreeningPDC
11:15 AM – 12:00 PM
Princetown
Description
For tenant screening providers, the Fair Credit Reporting Act only begins to describe customer expectations and compliance obligations. New Fair Housing Act expectations and state/local privacy, consumer reporting, landlord-tenant, and record access laws all touch and concern PBSA members’ resident screening operations. We’ll review key recent litigation, legislation, and regulation – and discuss their significance for screening providers’ product design, business agreements, client education, vendor QA, integrations, and marketing. And we’ll “crystal ball” where the “new FCRA” is headed under the CFPB’s rulemaking.
